John Occleshaw, MA FIA
Senior Vice-President, Reinsurance

John joined Canada Life in 1997 as a valuation actuary in the UK division. In summer 2000 he moved to Toronto, working in Corporate Actuarial looking at earnings analysis and capital allocation. In late 2002 he moved back to the UK and took a series of roles in the Individual Insurance Business, starting with responsibility for product pricing and culminating in Managing Director, Individual Business, with responsibility for all aspects of the UK annuity, pensions, investment and individual protection operations.

At the start of 2012 John joined the reinsurance team with responsibility for overseeing all of the global reinsurance businesses of London Life and Canada Life. John is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (1995).

Gabriel R. Kelly, FCA
Chief Executive Officer
London Life and Casualty (Barbados) Corporation

Gabriel joined London Life in 1992 as Vice-President, property and casualty operations and now oversees the P&C operations worldwide based in Barbados. A native of Ireland, Gabriel is an experienced professional in all aspects of traditional and non-traditional property and casualty reinsurance for international markets.

Gabriel is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (1994).

Iain L. Caskie, CA

Iain has been an active member of management within the London Reinsurance Group of companies (LRG) since he joined the company in 2002 as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. He has helped to support the growth in the operations of London Life and Casualty (Barbados) Corporation since its inception in 2004 and became Chief Operating Officer of this company in 2006 with responsibilities covering all aspects of corporate management.

Iain is a Member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (1993) and Barbados (1994)

Vicki D. Marshall, FCIS, LLM
Corporate Secretary and Manager Reinsurance Compliance
London Life and Casualty (Barbados) Corporation

Vicki joined the London Reinsurance Group organization in 1995 and has worked in a number of roles within the group companies before assuming her current position with London Life and Casualty (Barbados) Corporation on inception in 2004. Vicki works alongside the rest of the management team to provide compliance services for all contracts underwritten, together with the provision of corporate secretarial services and all other aspects of regulatory and statutory obligations of the Company.

Vicki is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Canada (2003) and a Member of the Barbados Association of Compliance Professionals.

Vincent Cleary BE, ACII
Senior Vice-President and Chief Underwriting Officer

Vincent joined the Dublin office of London Reinsurance Group as Vice-President Property and Casualty in 1995 and has thirty years’ extensive market knowledge and experience in the international reinsurance industry.

He has been instrumental in developing the traditional P&C portfolio and was appointed Senior Vice-President and Chief Underwriting Officer in 1998. He is responsible for overseeing all traditional contracts written in the group’s subsidiaries.

Vincent holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Christine Harmes ACII
Assistant Vice-President, Property and Casualty

Christine provides underwriting, contract wording and specialist technical support to the Dublin and Barbados based underwriting teams.

Christine commenced her insurance career in 1981 and worked from 1987 to 1993 in the New York office of a major international reinsurance broker. In 1987 she returned to Ireland as an Assistant Underwriter for one of the world’s largest reinsurance groups and in 1998 she joined the Dublin office of London Reinsurance Group.

Christine is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Colm Ryan, FIA, FSAI
Pricing Actuary

Colm joined the Dublin office of London Reinsurance Group in 2006 while still an undergraduate at University College Dublin. In 2007 he graduated with a first class honours degree in Actuarial and Financial Studies and joined the office in a full time capacity.

Colm leads the P&C actuarial and modelling team, working closely with the underwriting teams in Dublin and Barbados.

Colm is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
